Insights at the projects we have handed over

What happens to the projects we have handed over, usually after years of support by the Village Foundation? In Bolivia, we try to find answers to that question through field visits to the projects.

In September, for example, in a visit to the Guarani community of Tentaguazu, we could verify that the local county government of Entre Ríos has taken over full responsibility of the Project “Weekly Boarding in Indigenous Families”. It fields the Local Project Coordinator in the village, and provides monthly food packages to reward more than 20 guest mothers for their care of 50 pupils from small communities in the vicinity.

In the project in Copacabana village on the high plains of Tarija Department, these tasks are preformed by the local county government of Yunchará, to the benefit of primary school children.
