Children’s Day in Bolivia – commitment to children’s rights and future opportunities
15.04.2026
Children’s Day is celebrated in Bolivia every year on April 12 and serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting children’s rights and supporting their development. Fundación Pueblo also used this occasion not only to give children a special day within its projects, but also to help them learn more about their rights.

Delicious fruit and lots of fun with sports in Suarurito
At the Casa del Futuro (MUMI) in El Alto, children engaged with their rights in a playful way and created creative posters. In Yanacachi, in the Yungas region, joint activities were also organized, including a children’s movie with plenty of snacks and drinks. The day was also celebrated in the student residences in Tarija through creative and community-based activities. For example, in Suarurito, near the Tentaguasu school, seasonal fruits were provided and sports activities were organized. Through these initiatives, we aim to help create spaces where children can grow and learn about their rights—because every child deserves the opportunity for education, protection, and a future full of possibilities.
