University of Tarija distinguishes cooperation with Fundación Pueblo
30.11.2025
The public University of Tarija has been our co-operation partner for several years now. For students in their final years, we offer internships in rural communities where thy can apply what they have learnt to the benefit of the rural population. The students are mainly engaged in our water-supply projects in the extremely dry and hot Chaco Region. That imposes considerable challenges to these future engineers, both physically and socially.
However, what they bring home after a couple of weeks or months is the priceless satisfaction of having done something useful for the Guaraní communities in one of the poorest parts of Bolivia. Fundación Pueblo privides the students with field equipment, tools, transport and a small food allowance.

This month, the University has awarded Fundación Pueblo a public distinction for this win-win co-operation, which we have appreciated with joy.
