From the paths to the projects of the Village Foundation
Friday January 27th, 2017
On the road from La Paz to the district of our foundation, Yanacachi, there are still a lot of landslides and grave accidents despite of intense construction works. This January the street was not not even passable due to heavy rains. That is why locals had to accept long detours in order to get to La Paz. Thanks to extensive research of our program for the access to civic information the citizens had chance to inform themselves about current advances of the construction work for improvement of the infrastructural condictions. The article was published in our monthly newspaper “Datos y Hechos de los Yungas”, which is distributed in the whole rural district.
We are especially glad to tell you, that we received a lot of positive response by the participants of our program for the promotion of women in El Alto, in particular about the childcare. The women feel a big relief not needing to worry about the care for their children during their clases. It allows them to concentrate on their own learning process. By means of a campagne on the donation platform Betterplace.org we want to extend both, the advanced training clases and the childcare, to further strengthen the migrants’ self-determined conduct of life. We invite you to visit our appeal for funds to support the women:
