“Children’s Day” in our Weekly Boarding Schools in Indigenous Families
Sunday April 30th, 2023
Children’s Day is celebrated in many countries, but on different days. The purpose of this day is to draw attention to the special needs of children and their protection and rights. In Bolivia, this special day is celebrated every year on April 12 with events for children throughout the country – and this year was no exception in our Weekly Boarding Schools in Indigenous Families:
For the children of the Weekly Boarding School in Copacabana, the local coordinator organized a day of games and pastries to celebrate the day.
In the Weekly Boarding School in Tentaguazu, the school organized a race for all the students to celebrate the Children’s Day and the 37th anniversary of the educational institution. There was also a festive program with performed songs, dances and poems.
