Heading out to the street markets!
Sunday January 19th, 2025
In January, the staff of our women’s project are busy preparing the new course program, which will be offered in the “House of the Future” in El Alto from February onwards. This also means advertising and information activities, in which the team does not rely solely on announcements on the radio and social media. At the numerous weekly markets, they come into direct contact with the women the project is particularly targeting: destitute migrant women from the countryside, often already mothers, who are trying to support their families as mobile traders. The project offers them a wide range of courses that open up new income opportunities fo: them in just a few months, while their children are well looked after and supported in the project’s own childcare facility. The flyers with the project details proved to be highly demanded. But will there be the expected number of over one hundred participants in the first semester?
