Sustainability and Follow-up in Northern Potosí
Wednesday May 25th, 2016
Donations of our friends are being been put to work in Northern Potosí, where the local county government has assumed full financial and administrative responsibility of the project in Uyuni and Capunita, run by Fundación Pueblo until 2016. 100% of running costs have been incorporated in the county’s 2016 budget. In an effort to maintain quality of service, Fundación Pueblo maintains presence in the area to follow-up both projects. Part of our ongoing engagement, this month we could offer workshops on rights and duties of project stakeholder in both communities as well as Jiskanqui, a project handed over to the local government various years ago. More than 150 stakeholders attended the workshops, with competent guidance provided by well-experienced Nirza and Elena.
July marks the start of our most recent project in the village of Copacabana in Tarija Department. Donors find a special surprise on www.betterplace.org/en/projects/40249
