A look back and new family and school gardens in Tentaguazu
Saturday October 31st, 2020
Harvesting fresh vegetables in your own garden, for a balanced diet – is the objective of the new project that we started in October in the Guaraní community of Tentaguazu. Twenty-one families built their own gardens and a school garden with simple, everyday materials. We support them with professional help, as well as seeds and seedlings. Among other things, onion, broccoli, carrot, lettuce, radish and chard were planted on the terraces. We also offered workshops on preparing cultivated foods and caring for gardens. Together with the families of Tentaguazu we are now anxiously awaiting the first vegetable harvest.
This month, with a new concept of hygiene and outdoors, our annual general assembly was held in Yanacachi. Project coordinators presented last year’s activities to an interested audience.
