Senate Awards Recognition to Village Foundation

Plurinational Legislative Assembly Senate awards a Recognition to Village Foundation on its 25 years of existence, for promoting uninterruptedly school access, technical training, promotion of women and rural development. Senator Rosario Rodriguez Cuellar, who represents Department of Tarija, took the initiative for this distinction.
On April 21st. the award ceremony took place at Andrés Ibáñez Hall located in the historic building, Legislative Palace in Murillo Plaza, La Paz. The event begun with the reading of the document, signed by Senators Eliana Esther Torrico Peña and Mercier Herrera, which enhanced the contribution of Village Foundation to combat discrimination and poverty. After a reviewing the most important programs and projects Village Foundation Teams oversees, Senator Rodriguez hands the Chairman of Village Foundation an official Recognition.
The event is enriched by the words of salutation given by Mr. Adrian Seufert representative of German Ambassador, Peter Linder. Department of Tarija, where Village Foundation works with School access and local economic development programs, also gave a cultural context to the event with a musical presentation by singer José Luis Ruiz. Stepping out of protocol, Tarija’s Senator improvised a traditional dance, cueca Chapaca with Foundation’s German Director.
