Tuesday February 27th, 2018
In Copacabana many activities were held in February. Last month we organized all the necessary things for another year of lodging. Student in family; we signed the agreements with parents of the recipients scholarship, this month. In addition, we prepare and equip the bedrooms in the homes of the host mothers with cots and mattresses. This month we also moved the pedagogical space. The new environment is right in the school building and has a lot of space to study and play. We are happy that at this moment we have 40 students from remote communities enrolled in the program who will have our support for a school day this year.
Beside these good news, there is something less pleasant to report, this month, from our Yanacachi headquarters. The heavy rains of the past weeks caused numerous landslides on the road to La Paz. Partially, some hills fell and left the road to lie below. At the moment, the road is not passable and people of the region have to find a way around to make necessary purchases in La Paz.
